This is a picture of a monstrous grant proposal I finished yesterday and will be dropping off at United Way. It’s so bad that my boss gave my 50 bucks, a hug, and sincere thanks when it was done. I prompty went home and took a 2-hour nap.

In other news, I finally figured out how to email photos from my iPhone through flickr to this blog. YAY! (*cough cough…Matt had to help me figure this out, of course…)

March 12, 2007…two years ago, my grandma died. I’ve been thinking about her a lot this week, thinking about how amazing she was and how much love she always had to give. I like to think that I carry pieces of her with me. At least there are SOME blessings to a memory that grabs at everything and doesn’t let go.

I miss you, Grandma!

Someday I will purchase an island. It shall be an island of serenity and peace, because I will not allow the following to be a part of it:

1. Pick-up truck drivers (how come they all drive so super-aggressive and think they own the road?)
2. People who talk in movies (without fail, I will always find the one set of people who are going to talk full-volume and comment throughout the entire movie, and I decide to sit right next to them.)
3. Oprah Winfrey (no one person should have that much sway over the entire publishing industry.)
5. 99.9% of professional athletes (David Beckham, you are the one exception)
6. Any children wearing those shoes with wheels on the bottom.
7. Property taxes
8. Commercials, and the following TV shows: Family Guy, That 70s Show, and Everybody Loves Raymond

Ah….if only.
