Yay for Vegas.

Ok, so I need to get this off my chest. About 5 days ago my dear, sweet husband accidentally knocked my favorite candle off the tub and onto the floor. It completely shattered and glass went everywhere. He swept it up, and a little while later I peeked into the bathroom before walking in with my bare feet. Glass EVERYWHERE! I picked up the biggest shards, noticing also that the candle was on the counter and had razor-sharp pieces still clinging to the wax. 

After complaining about the leftover glass to Jeremy, I furthered the clean-up effort myself by getting cut on the foot last night and again just now. See, the thing about glass all over the floor is that you have to be thorough when you clean it up, or people tend to get hurt and crabby. Also, we have pets. They tend to get hurt and crabby when stepping on glass shards, too. Although, they certainly have no objections to spreading sharp pieces of cat litter around the floor…

Anyway, this is my tip for glass: after sweeping, you have to also take a wet paper towel and get all the teeny pieces. (and even medium to large pieces…brooms don’t really do a great job with glass. NOT TO MENTION: now my broom is full of glass.) I did give Jeremy one last chance to clean up all the glass, so now if I find any more shards with my feet I get a backrub. 

Oh, and also, I’m 90% certain that the glass from last night is still in my foot. I can’t put any pressure on it.
